This media promotion, Platinum x Bungo and Alchemist, features the characters from the web browser and mobile card game Bungo and Alchemist. In this game, “you are tasked as a Special Duty Librarian (特務司書), otherwise known as The Alchemist (アルケミスト). You are tasked to delve into tainted books and purify them with parties composed of writers (文豪, lit. “Literary Great”) to fight Taints who have corroded the books. To obtain these writers, you are also tasked to delve into ensouled books in order to transmigrate and recruit them into your library” (Wikipedia).
This media collaboration Platinum x Bungo and Alchemist was released on 2/28/22 to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the game. The navy resin pen features screen printing of watch gear motifs, a lotus or water lily etched on the nib, and a cap band of raised, jumbled letters to evoke the corrosion of books.
